fair day!!

Today was very fun but very exhausting!!!  Last night Michael Aiden and I spent the night at grandma's house so tha we could just get up and go to the fair this morning.  I don't know if I'll do that again because I feel like I have to pack half of the house in order to spend the night.  I slept in Charlie's bed which is actually very comfortable.  Any hoo.  We got to the fair at maybe 10 or so.  We parked and then made our way all the way to the gate.  We put child security bracelets on the kids and Olivia before we did anything else.  Michael did not want anything on him for some reason.  He was set on riding the faris wheel when we got there but then wanted to ride more of the smaller rides instead of one ride on the wheel.  He had such a great time.  Aiden was great too!!  I fed him once near the beginning of when we got there, and then he slept, woke up, changed his diaper and then went back to sleep.  That was his fair day.  He was such a happy baby.
Michael rode on....2 rides and then we walked towards the food court/big tex/car show.  After all the fun over there we walked back through the kid midway so that he could finish riding rides.  Then he rode on at least 5 other rides.  He was so brave!!  Ia and I went on a couple with him because we had too.  I think I enjoyed two of the rides the best.  The giant slide and the rollecoaster because we got a cute pic from it.  I'll let the pics do the talking.
Michael was so tired he fell alseep on the way home and took a really good nap when we got to the house.  Mom me and dad took showers because we felt gross.  Around 6 I took both of the boys home.
Michael was not very good at driving that hummer car.  In his defense, pappaw said that it had a defective wheel.  Funny story.  Olivia siad that Michael and this other boy were arguing in line and the other little boy said that he was going to get a certain car.  Michale said back with an attitude, no you're not, I'm gonna get that one and you're gonna get the pink one!  Olivia tells it fuunnier.
We had a wonderful day, have a good night.

garage sales!

Today I had a meeting at OTB in the morning a t8.  I ended up taking both boys with me.  In all honesty I didn't really care weather they liked it or not.  I only work once a month and because of my wonderful husband, that is all I have to work.  Mine were the only kids there but they were both pretty good.  At least I thought we were doing good until I looked over and saw that Michael had indeed colored all over the table cloth with a pen.  I used a napkin and water and some good scrubbing and it came off easily.
After that I went over to my parent's house to feed the baby and hang out a little.   I then realized that God had caused me to have a ridiculously early meeting at a job I only work at once a month in order to make sure that I didn't miss my parent's nieghborhood garage sale day.  YES!  Score!  My parent's and both the boys went around the block once and then went driving around.  We didn't get out until maybe 11 or so.  So i guess most of the really good stuff was gone.  But in all honesty, what can a bunch of older people really have that I want or need?  I only had a 5 dollar bill on me, so that limited my spending.  I got a couple of cool things.  After that I fed Aiden at their house and rested, as I hadn't eaten lunch and felt extremely weak and shaky.  I also felt like I was going to throw up but I think that was because I needed to eat.
Overall a pretty fun day.
Have a wonderful night.
Randi and Michael planted trees and Michael decided he was going to plant his own.  It is a pen.
Aiden was sitting on pappaws chest and playing with his face.

lactose intolerant

Well yesterday was fun.  I bought some yo baby yogurt for Aiden thinking that it would help him a little with the antibiotics being so harsh on his system.  Joyce said he ate almost all of it.  Those things are big.  Well at the end of the day Stephanie comes running down the hallway through parents picking up their kids and tells me that Aiden was throwing up everywhere.  Lovely huh?  At that moment I knew that he was throwing up because of the yogurt.  It is made with whole milk and every formula we have tried that is milk-based he has thrown up.  I guess he is either lactose intolerent or his system is just not ready for that yet.  Who knows.  Poor stephanie just had no idea what was going on.  That throwup smelled pretty bad too.  After that I took Aiden home as it wsa the end of the day and all three of us just hung out until bedtime.  I actually cooked something for me to eat, and it was pretty good.  I hate cooking.  but I love to eat.
Today was good too.  Both boys did well and Michael enjoyed rainbows.  It was funny because when I walked into the room to feed Aiden he was sitting in a highchair and quietly playing with a toy.  As soon as he looked up and saw me he started whining as if to say hey there you are, now feed me.  His whine was actually somewhere in between a whine and a laugh.  He would whine and then kind of giggle at the same time.   I couldn't get him out of highchair fast enough.  He fell asleep as I nursed him.
Michael is pretty much back to his sweet self.  I think being sick, or lack of sleep for me, affects us all and makes us all grumpy.
Other than that I am tired.  Good night.
michael really wanted to wear his tie to school, looks cute huh?
Aiden is making good strides regarding pushing up, but gets frustrated that he can't move around yet.  soon.  All too soon.

short and sweet

Quick update today, and no pics because I don't have time to upload them.  I think that both of th boys are feeling better from their ear infections, but Aiden is having a hard time with his antibiotic making his tummy hurt, and as a result his bottom is hurting too.  So far, even though I have slathered on at least an inch thick of butt paste, he still has a pretty bad rash.  I am going to give him some yogurt tommorrow to see if that helps a bit.
I was very proud of Michael tonight.  On the way home from grandma's house I told him that we were going to do something different for dinner tonight.  I told him that I have a different kind of chicken to try.  Of course that threw him into a bit of a whine fest.  I told him that it is the same kind of chicken that he normally eats, it was just cooked a different way.  After a little explaining, I gave him a choice.  I said that he could either eat my chicken and get a surprise after, or he could eat his normal chicken nuggets and not get a surprise.  After a minor fit about that he said "How about I eat my chicken nuggets and then I get a surprise, how about that choice?  I like that choice."  I kind of laughed and told him how clever he was but that he didn't get to make up choices.  I gave him the choice once more and said " you can have your choice, but I don't want to hear any more whining about it."  He did good on the way home.  I think I sparked his interest because when we got home he kept asking to see what kind of chicken it was, and I was putting the groceries away so I didn't have time to get it out immedieatley.  He took a bite off of his plate and ate it.  Then I sat him down in te living room to eat his dinner, and he ate almost all of it.  He had roasted chicken and corn.  Cool huh??  He got a brownie after.  He was a happy happy boy.  He even went right to sleep when I put him down.
This morning Aiden woke up at 5 and wanted to talk and play.  He would not go back down, so I got up and let him bounce around for a while and ended up nursing him back to sleep about 7.  Michale woke up at 8:30 and came and woke me up.  So I didn't get much sleep at all.  Hopefully I will tonight if I ever make it over that way.
Here is a couple of just random cute pics.

puppy Michael

Sorry there wasn't an update yesterday. I went to bed early, but still managed to not really get any good sleep.  Hopefully Aiden will start sleeping past 4 again.  Today Michael was good, and so was Aiden.  We went to eat at OTB and Michael accidentally knocked over IA's drink.  He looked at it, then looked at her and said "ruff" and continued what he was doing.  I guess that was his way of saying "sorry".  Last night Michael spent the night at Grandma's and Pappaws house.  They said that near the end of the night right before he went to sleep, he started acting like a puppy.  He would run around on his hands and knees.  Pappaw said he even came to wake him up on his hands and knees.  He has been giving people puppy kisses.  Tonight he said he couldn't give me a Michael kiss goodnight, and that he only had puppy kisses.  He could only give me puppy kisses.  I told him I wanted a regular Michael kiss.  I told him that I was very sad that I couldn't have my regular Michael kiss before bed, and right before I left he gave me a couple of good ones.  He told me that he gave grandma a puppy kiss, and that it was a secret that he couldn't tell me.  His exact words:  " It's a secret that I gave grandma a puppy kiss and I'm not supposed to tell you because it is a secret."

The picture of Aiden on the green couch is funny to me because I was sitting there and talking to him.  He was just talking back to me.  That pic caught him in the middle of a really precious laugh.
The boys had fun seeing chunkle Arley and IA at Friday's the other day.  We went to eat a cup of dirt.

Ear infections...etc.

Well, Michael woke up this morning really not feeling well, and he told me just that.  It is nice that he can tell me what hurts unlike Aiden where I just have to guess.  He told me his ear hurt, and that he didn't feel good.  I gave him some benedryl and ibprophin.  After that I had lunch with IA and cassi.  After that we came back and I ended up loading both boys into the car and taking michael to the doctor.  When I told him I was going to call the doctor, he started freaking out.  He said that they would hurt him and he didn't want to go.  He was practically begging me not to take him.  I know part of it was because he really felt that bad that he didn't want to do something and so it just made everything such a big deal.  IA had to pick him up and carry him to the car while he was kicking and screaming, which I know she felt bad about.  On the way out the door, he said, " I want to walk."  so she put him down.  He ran the other way.  I couldn't help but laugh.  I finally got Aiden in his seat, and went to the other side to strap Michael in because he wasn't obeying IA.  She walked around the other side of th car and tried not to laugh, or cry.  I couldn't tell which.  I just laughed as soon as Michael couldn't see me any more.  What can you do?  He has an irrational fear and is royally freaking out.  He doesn't understand, and won't believe me if I tried to explain it, which I did.  When we got there he calmed down until we got in to the room.  Then he hid under the chair, where I left him while I changed Aiden's diaper.  After that  I put Aiden back in the stroller and picked up Michael and put him on the table.  He initially let the nurse put the thermometer in his mouth under his tounge, but then wouldn't close his mouth.  I even showed him how to do it, but he refused.  I wasn't going to sit there and negotiate for hours on end, and he held no hostages, so I told him she was going to have to put it under his arm.  For some reason that was more horrible to him than putting it in his mouth.  I had to lift up his shirt and hold him down at the same time so that she could take his tempeature.  He kept telling her that he didn't want her to stick anything in his ears.  After he got his temperature he hid back under the chair which normally I wouldn't have allowed if Aiden hadn't been fussing because he was tired.  So I left him under there and rocked Aiden on my shoulder.  The nurse asked Michael what hurt and he told her his ear hurt. She aked him why and he told her that he was listening too much.  cute huh?

After that came the good part.  The nurse practicioner came in and had to look in his ears.  By that time Aiden was still awake and fussy, but I had to put him down to wrestle Michael.  Boy was it crazy.  At least he's only 34 pounds.  I had to force him on his side and lean on him there while holding his head down.  Before that he kept doing the alligator death rolls.  NOT JOKING!  He would go back and forth so fast that I couldn't get him one position.  After I locked him down the nurse looked in his ear.  The left one was pretty red.  One more time for the other side.  When she looked in the right ear, it was a very bad ear infection.  So now we have two boys on antibiotics, benedryl and tylenol and ibprophin.  They are drugged up!!  I wish I could take a tylenol pm and just sleep.  All I need is a nap. Or a good night's sleep.  But Aiden wakes up at 3 or 4 for some reason.  I had him on a good run of not waking up till 6 for a bit, but then comes the ear infection and messes all of that up.  Oh well, he'll be feeling better soon enough.  I hope Michael goes back to his sweet mannered self after he gets better.

That was my day.  I put Michael in bed at 7.  Aiden went to sleep pretty fast too.  It was nice.  Now it is my turn.

Look how far up Aiden is pushing!!  I am excited to see that.  He is finally getting it!!  Those pics are all from this morning in bed.  Michael loves to snuggle his brother.  Aiden likes it too.  Such sweet brothers.

lazy day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!
I took Michael to school this morning knowing that I would not be staying.  I decided due to the suggestion of Joyce to keep Aiden home today.  He continued to have a fever last night and so technically was not supposed to be in school anyway.  Nicole Hyatt celebrated her graduation with an associates degree this morning with all of the teachers, and so had a bit of a celebration breakfast which was wonderful!  The food was good.  Aiden was actually very pleasant this morning and early afternoon.  After I dropped Michael off I had to take aiden's antibiotic back to Target because they didn't mix it.  While there I picked up a birthday present for Michael.  After they fixed the antibiotic I took him home.  We just basically hung out until we had to go and pick up Michael from school.  After I picked Michael up, we went to see Grandma for her birthday.  On the way over there Michael was quiet and all of a sudden he asked me where dixie and the puppies were.  I told him they went away.  He started crying.  He was really sad that dixie, mainly, was gone.  I ended up telling him that they all went to a farm so that they could run around and be happy.  He asked me why the puppies went away because he said that the mommy would be sad to not have her puppies there.  I told him that puppies are different.  They grow up faster and they go with other people to good home to make the other people happy.  I told him that the mommies are happy to see their puppies go and make other people happy.  He seemed halfway satisfied by that answer, but I am sure it would have continued if we hadn't have gotten to grandma's house at that moment.  The rest of the day was good.  The boys went to sleep well, and I am about to go to bed myself.  This debate is putting me to sleep.  I'm recording it so maybe I'll watch it later.

Michael made a birthday cake for grandma with playdough.  It doesn't look very good does it?
Aiden didn't really like the grass today.
He does enjoy his bouncer though.
Michael and his faces
Good night.

big and sick.

Today was a bit crazy.  Last night Aiden woke up at 3 or so crying and it took me a moment to fully wake up and realize that he was burning up. He was so hot I ended up taking him to my room and taking his clothes off and laying him under the celining fan to cool him down.  That seemed to help a little and I went ahead and changed his diaper and gave him some tylenol before nursing him.  After I nursed him however he ended up coughing a very wet cough and made himself throw up everything he just ate.  I had just changed the sheets!!  Not fair.  Michael got up for some reason at 5 and wanted to come and sleep in my room with me.  I was so gone tired that I told him to jump in.  We all went back to sleep until 7.  I can't really say that I got good sleep last night because waking up every hour to every couple of hours doesn't really count.  But we made it to school and I took Aiden into his class.  Michael went to help IA set up her class, or just play, and I told his teacher that he had had a fever last night.  She told me ask Becky if she wanted me to take him home or if she wanted him to stay today.  I went ahead and asked Becky and at first she had just said that we would keep him away from the other kids.  Then she changed her mind and said tht I should probably take him home.  I set up everything for Helena and then took Aiden home.  I somehow managed to get him an appointment at 11 with his doctor.  Guess what.  He now has his third ear infection.  The doctor faxed the perscrition over to Target and I went over with Aiden and just looked around for a while so it would be ready when I picked it up.  I went and picked it up and took him over to my mom and dad's house.
I decided to go after James full force.  I basically have to find him to serve him or the whole adoption thing is on hold.  Unless he is served to a judges liking, meaning he has personally recieved notification of the motion of termination of parental rights, we can't do anything.  So what do we have to lose?  James is already crazy right now, so who care if we stir the pot.  One of two things will happen.  He will go ahead and give me the address, or maybe he'll hire a lawyer or come back to town both of which are a really bad idea on his part.  Either way he would be giving us what we need.  Him, to be served the papers.  There is no way a judge would grant him any rights when there is a loving father and family where he is now.  Plus he hasn't seen or talked to him since before the divorce was finalized, and hasn't paid a dime of child support.  But still, please pray that all of this craziness will work out and fast.  Lawyers aren't cheap. And we aren't rich.
On to lighter subjects..  We all had fun at my mom's house.  Michael and pappaw and grandma and Aiden all went for a nice walk around the block, Michael got about 7-10 mosquito bites, and michael was obviously very tired, as his mood was very whiny and grumpy.  Even still, he tried to use his manners and obey.  He tried.  He is growing up so fast.  His birthday party will be the day after or day of peter getting back.  Don't know which yet.
After my parent's house I took Michael to church and dropped him off for Rainbow's and went home to clean a bit.  I cannot believe how many clothes I got out and washed for Aiden.  Michael had almost a full box of 12 month clothes.  Aiden is, I think, more comfortalbe in the 12 mo clothes.  At the doctor we found out that he is an even 20 pounds and 27 inches. BIG boy.  That is probably why he doesn't fit lengthwise in some of the 9 month things.  Some of the stuff is winter, but it so cold in the nursery, he needs to wear it.  I do need to get some more hangers.
Have a good night.
The pics are of Aiden laughing at michael or trying to grab the camera from me, or just funny faces he was making. Enjoy.
