Mowing the yard

Today was busy for me, but I seemed to have more energy. Right now I have a bunch of energy because of my adrenaline pumping. I know, I am a big scardey cat. I hate being in the house alone with two kids. I always have scenarios running through my head about what I'll do in certain situations. It's a wonder how I get to sleep at night. Earlier we had a power surge for half a second. I was laying down with Michael to get him to sleep and all of a sudden we hear a loud pop. Well, I was drifting off, and everything was very still and quiet. As soon a heard that pop, I straight jumped two feet out of bed, literally, I was on my feet and as awake as I would be playing a volleyball game. The pop combined with the beep of my alarm system and every scenario I could possibly think of running through my head, I stood in my hallway ready to get the baby and Michael and run out the front door, or fight, or something, I don't really know. After I kind of gathered my senses and looked around to make sure it wasn't anyone trying to get in the house, I got Michael and left Aiden in his crib and went to knock on the neighbor's door. I asked him if his power was out too, and about one min later a huge GP&L truck came driving down the alley. The power was back on in maybe 5 min or so, but I had to clam Michael back down in order to get him to go to sleep.
That was just tonight though. The day was pretty good, although it started out with me mowing the front and back yard while my mom watched the kids. Besides the oppressive heat I got a couple of painful blisters on my fingers. After that we hung out for a while during which I checked the mail and found that the rings I had ordered for my sling came!! yeah! My mom knows how to sew, so we are going over to Peggy's house sometime tomorrow to sew it up. I'm excited.
i finally have food in the house, as I went grocery shopping today with Aiden. I always forget to not go shopping on the weekend at any time. It is always so crowded. Oh well, it was necessary.
Have a good night.
